Adoptee-centred training for counsellors: from PAC-UK and Gilli Bruce

At last, training for counsellors that has been created by adoptees and with adoptees front-and-centre!

You may not know, but until now the training for counsellors who work with adoptees was not actually written with adoptees in mind - it was more from the adoptive parent point of view. This training was compulsary if you wanted to work with adopted people - as, if you remember, it was under the umbrella of OFSTED and the Department of Education.

Well, no more! Counsellors will now have the option to access training created and delivered by people with lived experience of being adopted.

Working With Adopted Adults in Counselling Practice

Two days of CPD training (12 hours) covering the developing adoptee, the lifelong impacts of adoption, modern adoption and ways to work with adoptees.

London: 17 & 18 November, Islington (last few places)
